The Symphion Network Instrumentation (“Intelligence”) Framework™ (SNIF) works to maximize existing IT resources and lower costs through faster, more accurate IT asset inventorying and configuration reporting. SNIF™ is a configuration management database (CMDB) that scans and generates “IT intel,” or IT intelligence, based on your existing IT assets, retrieving a breadth and depth of information about these assets.

As a cutting-edge CMDB, SNIF™ locates all enterprise-wide IP-enabled assets within a discovery field and interrogates each asset for its configuration information (i.e., make, model, serial number, version, and much more). Then, SNIF™ stores this IT intel in a versioned repository, available for viewing and analysis via its web browser and comprehensive exportable reports. In the past, IT intel had to be gathered and logged manually by IT staff members. SNIF™ automates the manual process, scanning and retrieving information on all assets in a matter of hours – several times a day, if needed.
